Luggage USB Ports: Convenience at Your Fingertips

Luggage USB Ports: Convenience at Your Fingertips

We’ve all been there- stuck at the airport with dying electronics and no outlet in sight. Luckily, if you’ve got an Expandible International Carry-on, dead electronics are a thing of the past. That’s because all of Duravo’s carry-ons come equipped with USB access, coupled with a storage pocket for your battery pack. You can charge on the go without ever opening your luggage!

In the Carry-On

USB access is built right into the Duravo Expandable International Carry-On and is complemented by an interior storage pocket for your battery. It's easy to charge electronics without the hassle of opening the suitcase. And it works with any USB battery or power bank on the market.

Flying With a Battery

Airlines have specific regulations regarding battery packs and portable chargers. Here are some key points to keep in mind:

  • Battery packs should always be carried in your carry-on luggage.
  • Most airlines allow battery packs with a capacity of up to 100Wh (watt-hours) without approval. For batteries between 100Wh and 160Wh, you may need airline approval, and usually, there is a limit on the number you can carry.
  • Opt for a battery pack with a capacity of 10,000mAh to 20,000mAh. This range balances ample power with airline regulations, as most airlines allow battery packs under 100Wh (approximately 27,000mAh for a 3.7V pack) without prior approval.
  • Choose a battery that clearly indicates its capacity in mAh or Wh. This helps TSA agents quickly verify compliance with regulations.
  • Opt for high-quality, well-reviewed batteries. Cheap, poorly made batteries are more likely to be scrutinized or confiscated.
  • When you reach the TSA screening checkpoint, place your portable battery and other electronics like laptops and tablets in a separate bin for X-ray screening. This helps TSA agents see the items clearly and reduces the likelihood of additional screening. The designed battery pouch on the Duravo carry-on allows you to get to your battery quickly.

Regulations can vary, so checking with your airline before your flight is always a good idea. This ensures you comply with their specific rules and avoid any surprises at the airport. And don’t forget- if you need to check your Duravo carry-on, it’s easy to remove the battery from the handy storage pocket.

Flying with a USB port and battery pack can make your travel experience more enjoyable and stress-free. The convenience of having a battery pack and USB port at your fingertips with your Duravo carry-on will make your trip a breeze.
